BPC-157
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a peptide that has been studied for its ability to promote tissue healing and repair. Human BPC is found in gastric juice. Clinical testing has shown to accelerate the healing of wounds, tendons, ligaments, and bones, increasing blood flow to damaged areas and reducing pain. It also acts systemically in the gastrointestinal tract to combat GERD, IBS, leaky gut, ulcers and Crohns disease.
BPC-157 works by stimulating the production of growth factors and promoting the formation of new blood vessels, which helps to improve tissue healing and repair. Some studies have shown that BPC-157 helps to increase muscle mass and improve muscle recovery following injury or damage.
Applications
-
Used when there is an injured muscle, tendon, ligament, or bone
-
Deep skin burns, corneal injuries
-
Offers gastric protection→ antiulcer peptidergic agent, helps improve GI mucosal integrity, decreases the gastric side effects of NSAIDs and alcohol
Dosing
- subQ injection – inject 500 mcg once a day, 5 days a week.
- Oral – Take 1 capsule (500-1000 mcg) by mouth daily in the AM on empty stomach.
The muscle-building benefits of BPC-157 are largely due to the fact that it helps with muscle healing.
Muscle and tendon healing are vital aspects to accelerate muscle growth. Without the healing and regeneration benefits of BPC 157, it simply wouldn’t be possible to grow muscle. When used properly, muscle and tendon growth can happen very quickly.
When muscles are being regenerated and the tissue to produce the muscles is being reformed, muscles are less likely to go to waste, as they are constantly being repaired. This reduction in muscle wastage is one of the key things that allows muscles to grow so quickly with BPC 157.
